Spring is finally here, and beautiful weather means spending more time outside! Take the stress of cooking off your plate while still fuelling your body with healthy, easy options. Whether it’s a relaxing Friday night in, Saturday morning breakfast for the family, or getting ready for the week ahead, these must-have appliances by Dash will make it easy for your family to eat well while spending less time cooking. As a bonus, their cheerful hues fit any home decor style while boosting your mood!

Friday Movie Night:
A Friday movie night isn’t complete without popcorn! Skip the movie theatre concession line ups and make a bowlful of popcorn (or two!) right in your kitchen.
One of my kitchen staples for movie night is the The Dash Hot Air Popcorn Maker. It pops kernels using hot air so you don’t need to add any oil. It also has a built-in tray on top so you can melt your own butter while the kernels pop. What an easy and healthier way to make popcorn!
Don’t forget to pair it with your favourite movie, chocolate, and a cozy blanket.

Saturday Morning Brunch:
Saturday mornings are best paired with homemade waffles and coffee.
Whip up a batch of waffles for the whole family with the Dash Waffle Maker! Simply mix your waffle batter, pour into the waffle maker, and you’ve got a fluffy stack of golden-brown waffles in minutes. Add your favourite toppings like fresh strawberries, local maple syrup, or whipped cream. Everyone will be asking for seconds!
Need a recipe to try? I recommend this Dash Classic Waffle recipe as it makes just the right amount!

Classic Waffle Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter, melted
Directions:
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Whisk the egg, milk and melted butter in a separate bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just incorporated.
Grease the Mini Waffle Maker with butter or a small amount of non-aerosol cooking oil. Pour 3 tbsp of batter onto the Mini Waffle Maker and cook until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh berries, if desired.

Sunday Afternoon Meal Prep:
If you find yourself rushing out the door every morning before eating breakfast, meal preparation will be a life saver for you!
Our family loves hard-boiled eggs but I dislike the way boiling them in my pot leaves a messy residue. To make the task more efficient and less messy, I now make a batch of them at the beginning of the week using the Dash Express Egg Maker. It perfectly cooks the eggs in less time than it takes to boil water on the stove. As a bonus it comes with an Omelette Bowl, and 2-Egg Poaching Tray.
Store your hard boiled eggs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Now you have breakfast ready to grab and go for an entire week.

Cooking incredible meals for your family can be easy and quick if you have the right tools. Enjoy these beautiful early spring weekends in cottage country!
Sincerely, Rose
